Expectations for Export to Iran Grow

Infrastructure and logistic investments made so far also increased Turkey’s export target with Iran. BilginAygül, President of the Turkey-Iran Business Council, said: “We hope that there will not be any obstacles to reach our goal of $ 30 billionin the coming period”.

Speaking at the opening of Turkey-Iran Business Council meeting at Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO), Governor Abdil Celil Öz stated that Turkey-Iran relationship goes back a long way.

Stating that relationships between Turkey and Iran experienced ups and downs from time to time because of problems arising from international relations, Öz continued: “At this point, especially with the lifting sanctions and embargo on Iran in international negotiations, we all together will apparently experience a rising trend in friendship and political relations between Turkey and Iran as well as in economic relations”. Reminding the fact that Iran received a serious foreign influx after 16th of January, Aygül said: “European countries came to visit Iran with delegations of 300 to 400 members. We went to Iran last week under the presidency of our Prime Minister, with our 5 ministers as well and we came with good outcomes. We hope that there will not be any obstacles to reach our goal of $ 30 billionin the coming period. Our friendship, brotherhood with Iran will continue to grow”.

“Promising talks between the two countries”

Reza Kami, the President of Iran-Turkey Business Council, on the other hand reported that very special negotiations took place between Turkey and Iran authorities.

Stating that it was paid special attention to foreign affairs and commercial issues at the meetings, Kami said: “Both countries intend to maintain good friendship for their bright future. Very special commercial agreements have been reached between the two countries. We need to support the efforts of both countries to establish better relations. We are also joining to them and try to continue these efforts. Working together, we will ensure better relations.” Reza Baghbankondori, Trabzon Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran, stated that the purpose of the meeting was to report economic and administrative relations and issues.
